Each is compared with known-genuine cards from the same set. All of them have to agree.
Pass, fail or unsure
Anything short of a clean pass goes to a person. No Score is issued on an unverified card.

Tested before launch on cards whose truth we know, with the acceptable miss rate fixed in advance.
Every card fingerprinted
Its photographs identify it for good. A card that returns altered, or a slab that has been swapped, does not match.
