Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Knowledge Nets Inc. ("we", "us") collects when you use Cellara, why, and what we do and do not do with it.

Effective 24 July 2026.

Who we are

Cellara is operated by Knowledge Nets Inc., a Delaware corporation (file number 6308088). You can reach us at support@cellara.com or at Newport Beach, California. For any question about this policy or your data, that address reaches a person.

What we collect

Account information. An email address, a username and a password when an account is created for you. Passwords are stored hashed; we never see the plaintext after it is set.

Your content. The cells and links you create — notes, todos, messages, files, calendar entries and everything else you put in Cellara. We store this so we can sync it between your devices and share it with people you choose to share it with.

Usage and diagnostic data. Server logs including IP address, request paths, timestamps and error traces, kept so we can operate the service and debug failures.

Messages you send us. If you email support or use the contact form, we keep the message and your reply address so we can answer.

We do not collect advertising identifiers, we do not embed third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this website, and we do not buy personal data about you from anyone.

What we use it for

  • Running the service: storing your graph, syncing it, and sharing what you choose to share.
  • Authenticating you and keeping accounts separate and secure.
  • Answering support requests.
  • Sending transactional email — invitations, notifications you have opted into, and account messages.
  • Diagnosing failures and improving reliability and performance.

We do not use the contents of your cells to build advertising profiles, and we do not use them to train machine-learning models.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information or the contents of your graph. We do not share them with advertisers or data brokers. There is no exception to this hiding further down the page.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers, each only for the purpose listed:

  • Google Cloud Platform — hosting, databases and content delivery, in the United States.
  • Google Workspace — our own email, including support correspondence.
  • Mailgun — sending transactional email.
  • Large language model providers — when you use a Cellara agent, the material needed for that request is sent to a model provider to generate the response. We do not permit providers to use it for training.

We also share what you explicitly ask us to: cells you share with a colleague are copied into their account because you told Cellara to do that.

We may disclose information if we are legally required to, or where necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety. If we are ever acquired or merged, your information may transfer with the business; this policy would continue to apply until you were told otherwise.

Where data is stored

On our servers on Google Cloud in the United States, and locally on the devices you use Cellara on. If you use Cellara from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and stored there.

Cookies and local storage

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. The application also uses your browser's local storage and IndexedDB to hold your graph so it works offline and reads are instant. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. This marketing website sets no cookies at all.

How long we keep things

Your content is kept for as long as your account exists. Deleting a cell buries it so it can be restored; if you want something destroyed outright, ask and we will do it. Server logs are retained for a limited operational period and then discarded. Support correspondence is kept so we have the history of your issue.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of your data, including a full export of your graph;
  • correct anything inaccurate;
  • delete your account and its data;
  • tell you what we hold about you and why.

Email support@cellara.com and we will action it. We do not require you to use a special form, and we will not charge you for it. Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights; we will honour them.

Children

Cellara is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS, each account has its own isolated database, and stored data sits on encrypted infrastructure. The security page describes the architecture and is explicit about what we do not claim. No service is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects your data.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for anything material we will tell account holders by email rather than quietly editing the page.
